VLA Class of 2022 Orientation

Welcome to the VLA Class of 2022!

Our goal is to empower you to maximize your leadership potential so you can effect change in your community, both locally and across the state. Over the next year, you will be challenged, mentored, and equipped with new skills and knowledge. What an honor it is to be a part of this extraordinary group of upcoming leaders. Each of you brings a unique experience and perspective to the class!

The VLA program in 2022 will be delivered across 9 different sessions offered virtually and in-person. Virginia REALTORS® is leveraging all our education tools to bring you the most diverse program yet to be offered to a REALTOR® in Virginia. So, hold on and get ready because the VLA Class of 2022 is about to take off!

Next Steps:  

1. Please click the registration button to begin the process. You will first taken to check out to pay your tuition fees. We prefer for you to pay by credit card in the Learning Center, but if you have any questions about payment contact [email protected]. 
2. Download, sign, and upload the VLA Class Acceptance Packet from the Required Forms tab by Tuesday, November 30, 2021. 
3. After your packet is uploaded, you will have access to the following agreements: 
   1. Fiduciary Agreement
   2. Health Waiver
4. Review the VLA Class Schedule in the Course Schedule tab. 
5. Complete the Harassment Prevention Training 
   1. Virginia REALTORS® is committed to providing a harassment-free environment for both volunteers and staff. As an appointed volunteer, you must complete our online harassment prevention training program. This program should be available on December 1st.

Once payment has been finalized and you have completed all the orientation tasks, you will be given access to the full VLA Class of 2022 program, including information about your first session in January. 

The Virginia Leadership Academy is a program designed to equip REALTORS® with the expertise and leadership ability to effect change in their companies, communities and associations. Specifically, the mission of the Leadership Academy is to identify emerging REALTOR® leaders who possess the potential to participate in Association leadership; to empower those individuals to maximize their individual leadership potential; to encourage them to participate in Association leadership roles; and introduce them to Association leadership opportunities. This training is designed to develop leadership skills and ultimately cultivate tomorrow’s volunteer leaders.

Once registration is complete, you will receive an email which will give you direct access to the VLA Class of 2022 Program. See below for a screenshot of where the program details, schedule, and sessions will be located in the Learning Center. The VLA Class of 2022 Program will be available in the same place each time you log into the Learning Center.
