Maura Neill
Keynote: Navigating Co-op(eration)
Maura Neill (ABR, AHWD, CRS, e-PRO, MRP, PSA, MA) is a second-generation REALTOR® who combines her love for the industry with her passion for education. Before getting into the real estate business in 2001, Maura taught at Florida State University and University of Phoenix. She is an active agent with RE/MAX Around Atlanta Realty, leading her team and representing buyers and sellers on a day-to-day basis. She considers education–both of clients and of other real estate professionals–an important part of her role as a REALTOR®. Maura is a national real estate presenter and a sought-after speaker for leadership training. In 2021, she was a member of the NAR Leadership Team, serving as President Charlie Oppler’s Public and Federal Issues Liaison. Policy, RPAC, and advocacy are a strong focus in her business and work as a REALTOR® volunteer; she is involved on the national, state, and local levels. Peer recognitions include the 2020 CRS National President’s Award and the 2015 Atlanta REALTOR® of the Year. Maura is a 2016 graduate of the NAR Leadership Academy, a Platinum R RPAC investor, a member of RPAC President’s Circle, and was honored at the $50k level of the NAR RPAC Hall of Fame in 2022. Maura lives in Sandy Springs, Georgia, with her husband Ben, their beagles Charlie, Jarvis, and Bebe.
Juanita McDowell
Effective Training Techniques for Brokers
Juanita McDowell owns a training firm that delivers over 200 workshops and seminars to agents, entrepreneurs, and corporate employees across the nation every year. Juanita is a REBAC Certified e-Pro and Safety Instructor, a Train-the-Trainer Instructor, and a GRI instructor. In addition, she is a video blogger who has received millions of views and is an avid writer.

Social Media Challenges: What You Should Supervise
Virginia REALTORS® General Counsel Laura started working at Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS® (NVAR) as a legal intern the summer between her second and third year of law school. After graduation, she accepted a full-time position as an attorney at NVAR. Three years later, an opportunity opened up at Virginia REALTOR® that would allow her to use the Regulatory Law Certificate she had earned in law school; she applied and was hired! Just over three years and three promotions later, she was made General Counsel.
Ryan Price
Economic and Real Estate Market Outlook
For more than a decade, Ryan has honed his knowledge of Virginia’s housing market. Before stepping into his current role of Virginia REALTORS® Chief Economist, Ryan served as the association’s Deputy Chief Economist. Prior to joining our team, he served as the President of research consulting firm LSA Planning, as an Urban Planner for the City of Alexandria, and as part of the research team at the Center for Regional Analysis at George Mason University. Even before joining VAR full time, Ryan spent years contributing to our research, including the monthly Virginia Home Sales Report and our quarterly regional market reports. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from James Madison University and a master’s degree in urban planning from Virginia Tech.
